Easy and Delicious Pour-over Coffee - Step by Step
Weigh out 20 grams of coffee and grind at medium-coarse grind level.
Boil about 350 mL of water in a gooseneck kettle, then remove from heat. Ideally, you want your water at around 205 degrees Fahrenheit.
Place a cup (that can hold at least 350 mL), brewer, and filter with coffee grounds on scale.
Slowly pour the water into the grounds in a circular motion - aim to add 50 grams in about 30 seconds. When the coffee grounds begin to “bubble back up,” that means the coffee is blooming.
Once it starts to go back down, pour in a circular motion again, the time adding 150 more grams of water over the course of a minute. This should bring you to 200 grams total.
You can pour your last 100 grams of water directly in the center of your grounds to finish at 300 grams of coffee. Give the brewer a good swirl and let all the water drop into the cup.
Remove the brewer, give your coffee a quick stir, and you’re ready to enjoy a delicious cup of pour over coffee!
